James Heimer is an illustrator, printmaker, and educator. He loves blotty lines, hardboiled crime and sci-fi paperbacks, and the grit and grime of cheap printing. He earned a BFA in Illustration from The University of the Arts in 2004 and currently lives and works in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia. When not making a mess, he serves as a faculty member of Hussian College.
Some clients include: The Boston Globe, Corporate Counsel, The Globe & Mail, Hopeless Records, Intercom, The LA Times, LiveNation, The National Constitution Center, The New York Times, Sierra Club, Stanford Social Innovation Review, and The Stranger.
His poster work has been exhibited at The Museum of Design Atlanta, Drexel University, and Civilian Art Projects.
